What Causes Inter Menstrual Spotting?

I had my period over a week ago and like 30 minutes ago I went to the bathroom and there was blood I wiped about 4 times and the 2nd time was a clot of blood. I havent had intercourse or anything..... had no cramping prior to seeing the blood but am now having some cramping in my stomach on the right side and my lower back is achy

Hello,

After the period finishes the follicular phase begins which causes enlargement of the follicles and then towards the ovulation day.

Only one follicle remain dormant rest disintegrates which later on rupture causing fluid to settle in the uterine cavity. So this might be because of that (ovulation commencement).
