I have been unable to have a bm for over 5 days,I will be seeing my dr. again on monday. My last visit was on tuesday past and he wanted me to try citrate magnasium also I just had some lab work done today.. I am 67 yrs old, diabetic, with an artery repair 4 years ago,I feel fine,no cramps or pain,b/sugar level good,bp alittle high but not at a dangerous level.. My nerves and imagination seems to be telling me this might be some fatal setback so I am trying to prepare myself..

Hi,

Infrequent bowel movement may be due to sedentary lifestyle or diabetic gastroparesis or anemia or hypothyroidism or irritable bowel syndrome. Take high fiber diet, avoid processed sugar contained food. Drink plenty of water, avoid smoking.

Avoid dairy products and gluten contain food. eat green leafy vegetables. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
