What Causes Inflammation On The Tongue While Suffering From Diarrhea?
I STARTED OUT 6 DAYS AGO WITH HEAVY WATER DIARIAH, IT HAS NARROWED DOWN TO JUST ONE TIME PER DAY. I ve noticed that my tongue is red, and has a medicine like or metallic like taste. the newest med that I,ve been taking is Claritin reditab. Do I sound like I m in trouble?
Red tongue and metallic taste can be due to digestive upset causing diarrhoea and along with it there can be acid reflux.. Secondly the symptoms can be due to side effect of the medication Claritin Reditab that you are taking which can cause a dry mouth and inflammation or redness.. So my suggestion is to consult your Physician and get evaluated.. If Claritin is the cause it can be changed to other antiallergic medication or dose can be reduced.. For now do warm saline gargles, such ice or do cool water rinses to reduce inflammation and if there is pain you can apply numbing gel over the tongue.. Take Vitamin B complex supplements daily .
Hope this helps..
Regards.
