What Causes Immovable Lump On The Bone Behind Ear?

Last night I noticed a hard immovable lump on the bone behind my right ear about the size of a kidney bean. It s location seems to point towards it being a swollen lymph node but I m not 100% sure. It s not all that painful, maybe a .5 on a scale of 1-10 but it is a little sore when I touch it. I don t have any other noticeable swollen glands or discernible symptoms other than a mild cough I ve had since the weather changed and the tendency to sleep longer than usual.

HI

Thanks for posting your query.

The possibility of that swelling being Lymph node is very high. It can occur either due to infection in the ear , Scalp or in the throat.
Mild cough indicates you might be having infection of throat.

Do salt water gargling , Drink hot water , eat less oily food and avoid non veg food . If cough and swelling persists even after 3-4 days , consult your doctor as you may require Antibiotic treatment and a FNAC test for the swelling.

Hope this information was useful to you.

Any clarification feel free to ask .
