Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 75 years old and for about the last three years I have suffered with hot spells in the evening and into the night. I am on a low dose of estrogen and have had my ovaries while in my forties. My thyroid profile was in the normal range, and per my gyn, my hormone level is ok. What could cause this? Oh yes, I used to be very coldnatured and now I’m not.
There are many causes of hot flashes. -Infections -Medications such as aspirin and acetaminophen -It can be idiopathic,so we dont really know the cause -Hypoglycemia. ' -Low blood sugar etc I suggest you to do a full check up to rule out any cause that can be the reason the hot flashes
Hope my answer was helpful. If you have any other question Ill be glad to help.
Regards, dr.Dorina Gurabardhi
