Hi,

Lower levels of female hormones like estrogen is the cause of menopausal symptoms like hot flashes. Hormonal therapy with oral or estrogen patches can be used after thorough clinical examination since it may cause adverse effects in many women. Drugs like clonidine or gabapentin may also be useful.

Avoid triggers like caffeine, smoking can reduce the symptoms. Drinking plenty of fluids and mild physical exercise, wearing breathable fabrics can improve the symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
