What Causes Hot Flashes After Taking Cortisone Injection?

hello: i had a cortizone shot yesterday afternoon in my right shoulder. none of the side effects listed on line for this apply . But my face is hot and flushed . below my right shoulder is flushed and my left arm is normal. i had a staff infection in 2000 that got into my blood stream resulting in getting into the bone in my right shoulder. I was hospitalized for 4 plus weeks and had 6 surgeries to rid the staff pockets upand down my body one they removed part of my clavical to rid the infection in the bone in my right shoulder. could this be infection or reaction to the steriod shot?

Hello,

It is probably cortisone induced immunosuppression lead increased the growth of bacteria leads to a rash.

Other possibilities like an allergy to shot or eczema etc.

Please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
