What Causes Hot Flashes After Having Iron Supplements?

Hello. I am currently taking iron supplements called Ferrous Fumarate and have been having hot flushes. I have tried looking on the internet for people that have also suffered this or for it to say that it s one of the side effects but have had no answers. I just wondered if having hot flushes while on these iron supplements was normal or if I should go back to my doctor about it. I have been taking them for just over three weeks now and I take three a day. It would be great if you could answer my question. Thank you.

Hot flushes is not a known side effect of ferrous fumarate.
Indigestion, burning in abdomen, black stools and constipation are known side effects.
Hot flushes in your case may be due to some other reason like hormone imbalance. Do not worry if it is not very troublesome. If it is affecting your daily routine life then you should consult your doctor.
