What Causes High Fever And Pain In Upper Abdomen And Back?

My son is five and spiked a fever on Thursday afternoon. Along with the fever he complains of upper abdominal pain. The abdominal pain subsides when the motrin for the fever kicks in. Each time he spikes a fever the pain returns. Now he is complaining of upper back pain. Any thoughts?

might be having viralgastroentritis.maintain hydration and control fever with syrup paracetamol. give him normal food can give probiotic. he will improve since viral infection is self limited.
