Hi
I am Dr Mittal
I am going to try to help you with your query
I have read your query
There are certain aspects that I am not clear about.
What exactly is your bp when you say that it is high?
The idea is that the blood pressure is not the direct cause of your swelling
The fact remains that when your blood pressure rises, the heart muscles change.
Therefore the pumping of blood is affected.
Hence the blood is not pumped that effectively leading to swelling of the feet.
I would suggest meeting a doctor. This may help in getting a medication for the
hypertension, preferably of the group of ARBs.
I would suggest an
echocardiography before you meet your doctor.
From your query, I am uncertain about your age. So I would suggest checking your
lipid profile as well.
As for the diabetic status, the only way to confirm that is by having a
blood test.
So check your FBS, PPBS,
HbA1c.
Please feel free to ask a follow up query
Best of luck
Dr Mittal
