What Causes High HCG Levels With No Ectopic Pregnancy Nor The Normal One?
On march 15 my hcg levels were 32. Two days later they were 79. One week later they were 77. Two days later 91 the next day they were 85. Then two days after that they went up to 140. No sign of ectopic pregnancy though, no sign on ultrasound of anything. Could I have miscarried a twin and be trying to keep one? What is going on with me?
I have gone through your query and would like to offer some information. Doubling titres of serum beta-hCG every 2-3 days is indicative of a healthy progressive pregnancy.
In the current scenario, there seems to be a fluctuation in the titres time and again.
You did not mention how many weeks pregnant you are. However, since there is no positive sign in the sonogram, I would ask you to go for a follow up in a week.
Also, the possibility of a molar pregnancy should be considered.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shanti Vennam, OBGYN
