The ovaries begin to lose their ability to produce mature follicles, estrogen and progesterone. This may be signaled by higher levels of FSH. High FSH level indicates that your ovaries are not working properly,other causes may be: -hormone therapy -certain types of tumor in the pituitary gland -Turner Syndrome FSH results can be increased with use of certain drugs, including cimetidine, clomiphene, digitalis, and levodopa.
