General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
I can understand your concern regarding the high ESR.
ESR is not a diagnostic test. However it is elevated in certain chronic inflammatory conditions like arthritis, colitis, tuberculosis, etc. It is reflected to the disease activity.
Tramadol is an opioid drug used to treat moderate to severe pain does not increase the ESR level as such.
You are advised to consult a rheumatologist for proper evaluation and you may need some other medications to relieve the symptoms of severe joint pain and nerve problem.
Best regards.
