What Causes Heavy Menstrual Bleeding?

It’s the second day of my period, my blood is flowing more than ever, for example when I take off my stained underwear and pants, and I sit on the toilet blood just pushed out of my uterus as if it where water, I think I have manorrhagia. And I go through about 6 maxi pads or more a day. ( I wear two maxis together) I usally change over night. I get the most painful cramps in the shower and I’m the middle of the day that don’t allow me from doing normal activities. Please help me. I don’t know what to do to make it stop

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You are suffering from menorrhagia.
The cause of menorrhagia should be ascertained by proper examination, ultrasound and blood work up.
Treatment should be done accordingly.
You can take Tranexemic acid tablets to stop the bleeding.

Hope you found the answer helpful.
