What Causes Heavy Menstrual Bleeding?

I am anemic. I have had extremely heavy periods the first day or two of my cycle. I have had a laparoscopy about 10 years ago for endometriosis. I also had 4 miscarriages, went into early labor(23 weeks) and had a stillborn, then had a healthy boy 18 years ago, but needed my cervix tied at 14 weeks(started as twins but they called it a vanishing twin). Now, I go thru 20 min. super tampons the first day and still bleed all over my clothes. I went to the doctor a week ago and they said i had a uti that was mdr, and told me to go to the er, but i didnt.

Hi,

You should go to ER for bleeding. Progesterone drugs can help improve bleeding. You may need an infusion of fluid to replace the excess of fluid loss. Also you need further evaluation of bleeding causes. Iron treatment is needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
