What Causes Heaviness In The Eyelids And Lightheadedness?

My husband is 41 years old and very healthy. He had a full blood workup within the past 4 months and all blood tests were normal. For the past couple of months he s complained of intermittent lightheadedness, which he experiences at no particular time of the day or night. However, lately he s begun complaining of heavy eyelids and tight eye sockets and the lightheaded episodes are lasting longer. Side note: he complained of lightheadedness around Thanksgiving when he consumed ham that day and for several days afterwards while eating ham leftovers. He rarely eats pork. He exercises 5 days a week and does not have high blood pressure. I just checked his BP which is 120/69. Could this be a TIA. Should I take him to the hospital now? He took 2 Tylenol and fell asleep

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for your question.

I do understand your pain and discomfort

"As" per his history is concerned please adjust Blood pressure medication. Due to low BP he may complaint like this. So contact with your local doctor and he will adjust it.

Secondly let me clarify what is TIA, it is called as mini stroke where a person can feel weakness in one side of body, paralysis, numbness, dizziness etc so as per your history he has no such history given.

I hope I was able to address your query. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to write to me.

Wishing you all the best.

Thanks
