What Causes Heat Flashes, tiredness And Craving For Salty Foods?

I am a 41 years old Female, Hispanic. I have endometriosis and I take birthcontrol pills to help with the painful periods. I am also taking Effexor 150mg 1once a day. For the past couple of months I have been having heat flashes, I am tired if I do not eat on time I get shaky...I had my thyroid checked and they say it is normal TSH 1.49 and T4 1.0 I also want to mention that my grandmother has Addison disease and my cousin has it too so every year I get a normal result on my cortisol levels. I also grave a lot of salty foods.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The thyroid function tests are within normal range. If your cortisol levels are also consistently normal then it is unlikely that addison's disease is a possibility.

It is possible that you may be in the perimenopausal phase. Perimenopause is the time before a woman becomes menopausal. It can lasts from weeks to years in some women and it is associated with a range of symptoms including hot flashes and fatigue.

I hope this helps
