After my ER visit I noticed a painful lump develop on the left side of my head about the size of a quarter. Pain med do not help what could it be
Hello dear, I understand your concern.Yourself being on anticoagulants(or blood thinners) do always carry a risk of some hemorrhagic complication. It's good that your CT and MRI Head have come normal. Hemicranial headache may be due to some other reason(like migraine or Tension headache).Painful lump on head can be a hematoma(considering that you are on blood thinners) or an abscess.Actually it is always difficult to comment about a lump, unless one examines it.Please visit a General surgeon so that he can examine the lump and form his opinion about it.I hope it helps.
