What Causes Headache While On Zantac?

I am a retired Registered Nurse and have a grand child who has some history of abuse and schizophrenic mom she has had go s&s off and on the md started her on zantac 75 about 4-5 weeks ago I notice her complain of some headache today and dizziness also she has gone form A/b honor roll status to an f since starting this med I know tagamet and some can have CNS effects can or has any report been noted of any of this occurring with this med???

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Zantac won't cause headache, unless you are allergic to it. She already started 5-6 weeks back then now headache probably due to some other causes like sinus headache or tension headache or infection, etc. If she is on schizophrenic drugs they may cause giddiness or confusion. Use tablet Tramadol and Paracetamol twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
