What Causes Headache While Getting Angry?

I m 40 years old, female, mother of 2 and a teacher. I ve learned that my husband is cheating on me. After the discovery, I ve cried so intensely, even to the point of hurting my husband when he comes near. When he tried to comfort me,i got hysterical. After a day, I ve experience pain starting from my neck up to my head when I get angry. What is the reason for this?

Hi.

I've gone through your query. I can understand your anxiety.

Your symptoms might be due to Tension Headache with radiating pain. Stress is the most common factor that would precipitate an attack of migraine or headaches. I advice you to,
1. To take Analgesics like Naproxen /paracetamol & Triptans
2. Neck massage & relaxation
3. YOGA
4.Have Caffeine drinks
5. Avoid exposure to light, noise etc
6. Have a counselling if needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Get well soon.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya V, General and family physician.
