What Causes Headache, Stiff Neck And Sensitive Scalp?

I live in southeastern ohio. I woke up this morning with a headache, stiff neck (left side), and when I touched the left side of my scalp, it was very sensitive to the touch. I found a tick in that area yesterday. No other symptoms. Was concerned about any tick related problems. Thank you! General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It seems like the headache, stiff neck and sensitive left scalp is due to inflammation from tick bite (as you found tick in that area yesterday). I advise to clean it well with warm water and soap. Apply Betaine, and cold compresses locally. If it will persist, should see your physician as might require prescription medications. It might have gone infected.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
