What Causes Headache After Taking Atorvastatin 20mg In The Evening?

I was taking atorvastin 20mg in the morning for a year with other meds and wasnt told until recently that I should be taking it in the evening. Since I have started taking it by itself in the evening, I develop a headache. I never had this side effect before. Is this normal? Thank you

Atorvastatin belongs to the statin group of drugs that may be used to to treat high cholesterol, and to lower the risk of stroke, heart attack, or other heart complications in people with type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease, or other risk factors. Among its its side effects, headache has been described.However, the side effect may be indepedent of the period of the day you take the drug.I feel your symptom may not be due to the drug since you have not had such effects since you have been on this drug.I will advise you take a pain drug like paracetamol and observe,If headache persists, you see yoru Doctor for investigation.
I will also advise you have your BP checked.
