What Causes Hard Lump On The Side Of Head?

My son went to his father s house, where him and his parents wat hed him while I worked...when I got off work and got home with him..I noticed he had a hard lump on the side of his head..I asked his father and neither him or his parents know how it happened..it doesn t seem to be really red to even red at all..I don t know what it could be.

It can be a bump due to physical injury, or it may be due to some bug bite in the scalp. But he should have known all where it came from if this was due to physical injury or bug bite.

Any way, is there some sort of pain on the lesion??? Itch??


I will like to see the picture of the lesion so as to diagnose and treat it properly. Right now he needs help so apply heat pad to the area so as to raise blood circulation to the area. Give him tylenol to fix the inflammation of the area in no time. Give him plenty of fluids too.
