What Causes Hair Fall And Poor Memory While On Levothyroxine?

I have hyporthyroidism and i am on levothyroxine . I am tired all the time , my hair is still falling out , i have memory problems and skin problems . I am constantly thirsty all the time and often can taste bile in my throat . I have had diabetes tests which were negative . Am i having a bad reaction to Levothyroxine ? I have asked to be put on Natural dessicated thyroid but my docters refuses . I am having tests for liver and kidney fuctions [ i drink very little alcohol ] Whats wrong ?

Welcome and thanks for your query.
Hypothyroidism leads to hair fall, tiredness, memory problems and psychological problems. Recheck your Thyroid functions and make sure that TSH is below 2.5.
You may be anxious or depressed in addition which would also account for your symptoms.
I agree with your doctor in that nothing more is achieved in changing Levothyroxine to desiccated thyroid preparation.
