What Causes Giddiness While Walking In A Hypothyroidism Patient?
Hello my father who is 65 years old feels giddy while walking. His medical history is as follows: Had angioplasty 12 years back. His blood pressure within normal limits He says he doesn't feel shortness of breath. All his blood parameters looks okay from a recent blood test. 6 months back he was detected to suffer from hypo thyroidism and is taking medication for this. Would you please suggest what type of problem could this be? what kind of tests would you recommend to find the problem?
thyroid pts usually experience giddiness when their levels are altered..probably they may need to alter their doses..it is advisable to check thyroid levels every 6 months once..so check his thyroid levels and report to ur physician with the full thyroid profile valuesie, T3,T4,TSH,freeT3,free T4,,and take appropriate dose of thyroxine..
also as he had angio done 12 yrs back.i would suggest u to get his ECG done once..and consult ur physician regarding the same
