What Causes Frequent Urination While Treating High Cholesterol And Blood Sugar Levels?

Please let me know What can I do as a treatment for frequent urination? I already went in the doctor and he didn t give me anything to treat this problem. Every 10 minutes I need to go in the bathroom. My email is YYYY@YYYY I don t have any reports or images. The doctor said I have a little high colestherol and little sugar high. I am taking Metformin 500 mg, one tablet every day and lusinopril 40 mg, one tablet/day for high blood pression.

From your history it is apparent that there could be two possibilities:
First one is your blood sugar is not controlled. Increased blood sugar causes frequent urination due to the loss of glucose in the urine, along with glucose excess water is also lost.

Second it could be due to infection in the urine.

So, you are advised to check your fasting and post prandial (post fasting) blood glucose and urine analysis to rule out infection and visit your treating doctor. You may need additional drug to treat uncontrolled blood sugar or a course of antibiotic to treat the infection, if found in the lab tests.
