What Causes Frequent Urination, Weight Gain And Fatigue While On Atacand?

Hi I am taking atacand 4 mg for almost a month now it has lowered my bp somewhat but I have had some concerns such as getting up 3 to 4 times a night to urinate , restless sleep , weight gain , fatigue. Is this normal or should I be looking to change medication ? Thanks

Atacand 4 mg contains candesartan which belongs to the group of medications known as angiotensin 2 receptor blockers (ARB) is used to lower blood pressure and can also treat heart failure and protect the kidneys. It relaxes blood vessels by blocking a chemical that usually make blood vessels tighter. This allows more blood and oxygen to get your heart and other organs and helps the heart not work as hard. Side effects of Atacand are stuffy nose, diarrhoea, headache, fatigue, tired feeling, weight gain, increased frequency of urination at night, restless sleep, weak pulse, slow heart rate, dry cough, allergic reactions etc. If you experience such type of side effects, consult your doctor immediately.
