What Causes Frequent Urination And Blood In Urine?

I feel like I have a UTI or bladder infection (I ve had them before) - feels like I have to urinate, bearing down feel, but my urologist tested my urine and I have no infection - He gave me a shot based on the fact that I had some white cells and blood in my urine and put me on two days of cipro? but when the culture came back negative, there was no need for any more anti-biotic - This was last week and here I am again with the same symptoms - should I go back for a recheck?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I suggest you re-check.

I recommend doing a complete blood count, a urine test and a renal ultrasound.

These examinations help in excluding a renal stone or a urinary tract infection.

In this way, you can take proper treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
