What Causes Frequent Urination And Blood In Urine After Intercourse?

Hi, I am a female and i had intercourse last night. I have been with my partner for over a year and we regualry have intercourse on a daily basis. But since the intercourse we had last night, I have the feeling of urinating every few seconds even after emptying my bladder. there is no blood in the urine but when i wipe, there is quite a bit of blood on the tissue paper. Can you help me to find out what this may be? thanks.

Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You suffer from urethra and bladder infection. This is a common issue after an intercourse. I suggest you to have urine analysis done and start antibiotic treatment. Next time you should urinate right after an intercourse to prevent it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Grzegorz Stanko
