What Causes Frequent Bowel Movement And Stomach Pain?
Hi, my boyfriend is a codeine addict and has been taking neurofen plus for about 10 years, he recently didnt have any for a day and that same day he started getting stomach pains and needing the toilet very frequently and having large bowel movements, he has codeine again today but still is feeling unwell, dizzyness blurred vision and tiredness, i have been reading and was thinking it was chronic disease or worse some of his symptoms are of bowel/colon cancer.. he has also had anemia experiences recently, he is 29 years old.

He is suffering from withdrawal symptoms of codeine. Symptoms may present like palpitations, chest pain, sweating, shivering, abdominal pain and loose motion.
So, codeine causes constipation sudden withdrawal may cause loose stools. So, try to take low dose of drug for maintenance or use tablet Loperamide thrice a day for five days.
If symptoms not improved, please consult your psychiatrist, he/she will examine and give deweaning therapy.
