Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Frequent Belching And Feeling Of Heartbeats In Stomach?
I have had a heartbeat in my stomach for a couple months now. I haven t really thought anything of it, but after researching I ve seen information about aortic aneurysms and I m curious as to if that could be the cause. I also have some GI problems that have been undiagnosed thus far. I have a lot of belching, so I am curious as to if these two problems could be related
Firstly the information provided by you is not sufficient. If I were a treating doctor I would have asked following questions: Age, severity of problem, frequency of belching, relation with food intake, abdomen distension if any.
However as a practising physician I will keep aortic aneurysm much later possibility after ruling out gastritis, stomach ulcers, stomach outlet obstruction. The undiagnosed GI problem in your case could be one of these which is causing belching. You need to visit a GI surgeon and physician immediately, he would do scan or endoscopic examination to come to an diagnosis and decide on treatment afterwards.
I hope i have clarified your queries. Do write for follow up queries. Kindly rate my reply. I wish you good health. Thank you.
