Hi, thanks for posting your concern in the HCM.
I think back ache may be due to several reasons. At this age, mechanical back pain is very common. Particularly, this may be due to faulty posture, lax abdominal muscles and sedentary lifestyle. Although you do not sit for more than 3 hours, frequent change of posture is needed to avoid back pain. Also, you should sit with your back perpendicular with the sit, so that you don't bend forward.
Abdominal muscle strengthening exercise should also be started.
Please also avoid carrying heavy weight.
The pain may also be related to bowel problems or anxiety. If you have irregular bowel habit, with or without bloating, you should have high fiber diet, plenty of oral fluid. Please avoid carbonated beverages, alcohol and smoking.
You should also have relaxation session for 30 min. Per day before bedtime to abate stress.
For increased pain, you may have Tab Paracetamol 500 mg SOS, min. 6hr interval between 2 doses.
If the pain persists, despite following these measures or the test results are not normal, you should consult a specialist in Orthopaedics.
For any further questions, please write back.
Regards,
Dr. Kaushik
