im a gay man 25 years old. for 2 months since i had a particular sexual encounter i have had flu-like symptoms. beginning with 1 night of fever and sore throat. 2 weeks of runny nose. i then got antibiotics for a chest cold. about then i began experiencing muscle cramps, chest cramps, fatigue, and primarily upper abdominal cramps. over the last 4 weeks i have some diahrrea, chronic abdominal cramps. right now the chest pain, sore throat and runny nose have returned. both std and standard blood tests have been negative.

Hello,

Don't worry. the thing you are worrying about may not happen for at least several months because of its incubation period. Flu, body pains are normal. do not worry too much and be obsessive.

If you are in doubt, you can consult your doctor to have your blood checked for infections.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr K. V. Anand, Psychologist
