What Causes Fever With Vomiting And Barking Cough?
hi..my son is 3yrs old. He got fever 102 on monday. We took him to hospotal. Doctor prescribed dolo 250.. Azee antibiotic...t minic and otrivin spray. He is having heavy congestion in throat. We gave nebulixation adrenaline and budecort.he is unable to eat. We r giving lapzol as well. He some times vomits if we give food or milk. Amreally scared when he coughs. Its a dry cough and he gets a big sound in throat and starts crying. When sleeping he inhales as snoaring and suddenly wakes and cry. Is mucus blocking his throat ? Wat i should to do make him breath easy.

Hi,thanks for choosing our forum. Your child looks like he is going through a viral infection causing acute laryngotracheobronchitis popularly called CROUP. Doctor has given azithromycin antibiotic possibly because he felt that there is a bacterial superinfection. He might need regular adrenaline/ budesonide nebulisations depending on the severity. Take him to his pediatrician just to check him again and decide on nebulisations. Don't worry. He will do well soon. Regards,Dr.Pravin Asir.
