Hi,

Yes, the symptoms can be due to upper respiratory tract infection. You should consult an Emergency room and get evaluated so that they can examine you for flu or other viral infections.

For now, you can take:

-Take a combination of decongestant like Phenylephrine, mucolytic like Ambroxol and anti-allergic Levocetirizine and another combination of Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen for fever and pain.

-Take cough expectorant containing Guaifenesin and cough suppressant containing Dextromethorphan.

-Gargle with a warm saline solution that is by mixing 1 teaspoon salt in a glass of water and warm it to make a lukewarm solution.

-Chew a Vitamin C pellet daily.

-Do steam inhalations.

-Avoid spicy and chilled foods.

-For nasal dryness, you can use saline nasal drops and use a humidifier in your room.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
