What Causes Fever And Headache After A Colonoscopy?

Hello I had a colonoscopy yesterday and 3 polyps removed. I have started with flu symptoms today with a fever and bad headache, i just took 2 Aleve and Advil this am. I am now worried about bleeding? I have had none at this point. I am feeling very flu like? Coughing a lt also. Thank you for helping

I have read and understood your concern
Your symptoms may or may not be related to the intervention.If related to your intervention, it may just be a reactional fever.However, i do not feel it is the case.Flu symptoms like fever, headache, cough and runny nose are mostly caused by respiratory viral infections and symptomatic treatment will do.However, bacteria infection or superinfection are possible.I will suggest you try the following:
-Continue with aleve or advil
-Rest well
If symptoms persist, you see the Doctor for examination anf tests like full blood count, ESR
I will advise you also observe for bleeding, if any, you see the Doctor as it is possible after removing polyps.
