What Causes Fatigue, Swelling In Feet And Brittle Hair With Dry Skin?

I have fatigue, swelling in my feet, brittle hair, dry skin (eczema), my legs and back are always feeling like they need to be stretched out. I took a CBC, lipid panel, and tsh w/ reflex to t4 blood tests and everything is within the normal range except I have high monocyte count at 9.6% absolute monocytes at 998. Any ideas what s wrong with me? The symptoms have been present for over a year.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns. Before running into final conclusions, I need to have a look at your blood tests to evaluate each parameter accordingly.

Having high monocyte count and absolute monocytes are indicative for possible :
- chronic inflammatory disease (I need to have a look at the rest of your blood tests you did). Furthermore, I need to have a look at the reference range the lab where you did the tests are using to determine at what extent your monocytes are found high?

- Possible infection: Parasitic or viral infection

- I need to evaluate your red/other white blood cells levels to see if anemia is present as long as thyroid function tests are within normal range.

Hope it was of help!
