Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Fatigue And Vertigo When Diagnosed With Fibromyalgia?
I am very swimmy headed, tired always. Have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, but now am having vertigo more frequently. The extreme heat (now) and winter cold are very hard on me. All the women in my family have thyroid problems but, my doctor says my blood work does not show any thyroid problems.
From your description, I am of the opinion that fibromyalgia is classified as one of central sensitivity syndrome. Chronic fatigue, hypothyroidism, depression, vertigo, etc are manifestations of it. A few years back it was even discarded as any illness by Medical professionals all over the world, but now forms an important part and a diagnosis of exclusion.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ashish Ranjan, General & Family Physician
