What Causes Extreme Dizziness And Vomiting Sensation?

Yes. Yesterday I had a facial and when I tried to get off Of the table I experienced extreme dizziness. The room was spinning. The staff at the spa helped me get up and I sat and rested for about ten minutes. When I started walking down the hall I became nauseated and saddening realized I was going to vomit. My daughter drove me home and today my head still feels strange. I do have a doc appointment this later this afternoon but I am very curious about what could have caused this.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Spinning of the room or feeling as though you yourself are spinning would be called vertigo.

There are different causes but the most common are inner ear diseases such as BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo) , meniere's disease, vestibular neuronitis.
BPPV episodes lasts for a few seconds.

Meniere's disease is normally associated with ringing in ears and hearing loss.
In vestibular neuronitis can last for hours.

Your doctor would determine the likely cause and treat.

I hope this helps
