What Causes Excessively Noisy Breathing In A Heart Patient?

my husband had a heart attack a little over 3yrs ago, he is over weight and breaths so loudly even when sitting. he has trouble breathing whilst eating to and snores very loudly when lying on his back, his heart fuction is at 45% is the loud breathing down to his previous heart attack. it worries me he ll have another

Hi..Can understand your concern..As per your query about snoring and loud noise while sleeping and taking rest is suggestive of some obstruction in the air way or the upper respiratory tract.It can be in nose like nasal polyp,throat or epiglottis etc.It can be examined by investigation like xray and MRI.Does he strain himself while breathing.CPAP is a device worn when there is strenuous breathing to maintain the positive airway pressure in severe conditions.He can try lying right or left side instead of sleeping straight.I suggest you to consult a physician for proper evaluation and management.You should also go for an EEG to know the condition of heart if any doubt related to heart.I hope the information helps you.Take care.
