I am due to have a laparoscopy to diagnose and treat whatever they find. Had erratic periods past 6 months with heavy bleeding for around ten days, spotting in between times, pain, vaginal bleeding during bowel movements, pain and discomfort during ovulation, pressure and fullness. Bloated tummy can t wear usual clothing as too uncomfortable. Painful intercourse. 3 days ago I started with severe pelvic pain (right sided) which radiates into my back and top of thigh. Emergency doctor thinks it will be a cyst or endometriosis and gave me cocodamol 30mg and ibuprofen to take while await op. I have a high pain threshold but this really hurts despite the pain killers. I then developed slight swelling in my right foot and tight achy calf. Doctors told me to go straight to a&e in case of dvt. Did blood test which showed no dvt and said my op needs to be expedited as this level of pain not normal. I feel like they aren t taking it serious. I have left messages for my consultant both days now with no response. I dont know what to do and can t cope with all this pain and worry. Why would I have fluid in my ankle on the same side as my pelvic pain? I had a problem a few weeks back after doing a yoga class. My face filled with fluid around my eyes, forehead and cheeks..it lasted about 2 days. The doctors didn t seem to know what this was..perhaps it was linked to the problems I am now experiencing??
