General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

There are several potential causes for excessive sweating and fluctuating body temperature, some of which may be related to medical conditions or medications. Possibilities to consider are:
- Hyperthyroidism: An overactive thyroid gland can lead to excessive sweating, as well as fluctuations in body temperature, weight loss, and other symptoms.
- Menopause: Women who are going through menopause may experience hot flashes, which can cause sudden and intense feelings of heat, sweating, and flushing.
- Anxiety or stress: Emotional distress can trigger sweating and changes in body temperature, particularly if you experience panic attacks or other symptoms of anxiety.
- Infections or fevers: Certain infections, such as flu or pneumonia, can cause fevers and sweating, as well as chills and other symptoms.
- Medications: Some medications, such as antidepressants or blood pressure drugs, can cause sweating and fluctuations in body temperature as side effects.

If you are experiencing persistent or severe symptoms, it is recommended that you speak with a healthcare provider to determine the underlying cause and potential treatment options. They may recommend blood tests or other diagnostic tests to rule out certain medical conditions, and may also suggest lifestyle changes or medications to manage your symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
