What Causes Excessive Hair Growth And Mouth Sores After Taking Spironolactone?

yes I as taking spirolactone for 8 years not knowing I was allergic to it because I have had 4 bad strokes from getting really big blood clots in my veins I have a high platlet count I take 38 pills a day to live so I have a lot of hair due from the side affect of the med coming from my body and mouth sores,bad breath,big white spotes patches of looks like fat in my veins and it tightens up and hurts really bad and starts bleeding I,m on a blood thinner I,m want to know what I can take to get rid of the hair and the sticky sores.

1. Since you are on a blood thinner thus check with the INR [international normalized ratio] to check with your coagulation profile and further necessary management.

2. hair growth [hirsutism] and mouth sores/ulcers due to low blood count mainly agranulocytosis result due to long term use of spironolactone.

PS. since these both symptoms are side effects of the drug and doesn't warrant any emergency or hospital admission thus talk with your doctor regarding other possibilities
