Hello Sir,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. I would like to calm you down, because it is normal that you might see blood when you have an ureteral stent. Although this may seem alarming, please know that it is unlikely that you are losing a significant amount of blood. The degree of hematuria can be minimized by consuming liquids (strive for 2L per day).

You should be worried and visit your doctor if the following symptoms appear meantime you have the ureteral stent:
- fever (may indicate a serious infection)
- bleeding, if urine becomes thick with blood
- increasing pain in the kidney region (it may indicate that the stent is not draining properly)

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help
