What Causes Excessive And Frequent Urination In A Kid?

I have a 2 1/2 year old little girl and we are potty training. we did so well for 2 weeks with hardly any accidents. the last couple of days she has woke up drenched (still putting diapers on night) which she never did before. I cant keep her dry for nothing and she is urinating so much, I have limited the liquid intake thinking that has been it, but she hardly had anything to drink today and I have had her on the potty every 20 to 30 min and she is still having wet pants and filling the potty as well. I am not sure where all this urine is coming from!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

One of the most common causes of frequent urination is a urinary tract infection. So, I recommend to do a urine test and a urine culture for further evaluation and proper treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
