What Causes Episodes Of Extreme Dizziness And Double Vision?

I had an episode of extreme dizziness, double vision, and felt like something was wrong in my head. It lasted maybe a minute. I was able to get words out of my mouth to get help from my husband and reach my arm up. I m female, 55, slightly overweight and in general good health. What could it be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
thank you for posting your query in healthcaremagic.com....

from your history, it seems like you have suffered a mini-stroke or transient ischemic attack....
it generally presents with such symptoms and resolves within few minutes....it occurs due to temporary stoppage of blood to some area in brain....

do the following-
stop smoking if any
get your blood pressure measured and blood sugar tested
get a lipid profile done
eat healthy food with less fat
exercise regularly and try to lose some weight

consult a doctor if it happens again.....

hope this was helpful...
contact me for any further queries...

regards
