What Causes Elevated WBC With Sinus Infection?
I just saw my doctor yesterday and I have a horrible sinus infection. They drew blood while I was there only because it was also time to get my thyroid checked. With this blood test, a white blood cell count was done as well. It s elevated. The doctor seems to think it s because of the infection I m fighting right now but wants to see me in 2 weeks to retest to make sure. I only spoke to his nurse and got no more info. Should I be worried?

Elevated WBC count occurs in acute infection(neutrophill).
Use antibiotics, antipyeritics, anti allergic and tincture benzoin steam inhalation. You will be ok within a week. When you are symptom free there is need to repeat the test,as WBC will return to normal.
