Dear Madam,
You seem to have break-through bleeding because of the
contraceptive pills.
There are different types of birth control pills:
Progesterone only pills, Progesterone dominant pills, Oestrogen dominant pills, balanced pills, mini pills, post coital emergency pills, etc. Probably you are on the Progesterone dominant or Progesterone only pills which are known to cause low bleeding and also cause break-through bleeding.
One has to choose the type of the pills as per the
hormonal balance in the body.
You may discontinue these pills. You will get the
menstruation. Then switch over to the balanced or Oestrogen dominant pills with the advice of a Gynaecologist. Please start the next pack of different combination on the second day of menses.
By discontinuing these pills, you may loose the protection against
pregnancy in this cycle. So please continue to use condom as an additional precaution as you are already practising.
I hope this advice helps you.
