What Causes Earache Along With Ear Drainage?

I had been having problems with my teeth. I also have problems with my ears in pain also. I went to the dentist and was given the hydrocodone oral tab 5-325mg and amoxicillin 500mg for pain and infections. The pain is still in my ears feels like ear drainage. Another dentist said that I cannot have my teeth pulled until the medicine is fully taken. But living in the South people here have problems with pollen. Could this be a problem with me? I have type 2 diabetes.

Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
I have read and understood your concern
Ear pain with ear drainage point to an ear infection and will need to be examined and treated immediately. Tooth ache may radiate to ear region and give the impression of an associated ear infection. However, I will suggest you see the Doctor for an otoscopic exam immmediately as ear infection may have serious complications if not handled in time.In the meantime, you may continue with hydrocodone and amoxicillin till reevaluation.
Hope this will help. You may write back if more concerns
Wish you good health
