What Causes Dull Abdominal Ache And Back Ache After Spinal Block?

Since having my daughter 5mths ago, which i got a spinal block, from an epidural, having to push while numb may have caused lots of strain or may not be linked, iv suffered an acute dull ache in my abdomin, which spreads to my ribs, back, chest and stomach and gradualy gets severe, and sore to touch, feels like a band around me getting tighter, its very frightening, and takes my breath away, lasts around 30mins i need 4 painkillers to help ease the pain or else i am curled over in agony, happens in the evenings, and lately i have started to wake during night sleep with this agony pain, im going for test next week, but what couldit be?

General Surgeon 's  Response
HI.
Thanks for your query and history in a proper manner
This is self-explanatory.
While you strained for the delivery the normal protective mechanism without numbing got disturbed.
We have seen cases where similar problems - classical symptoms as you have explained.
These are usually due to slipped discs at thoracic level.
Get an evaluation done by a Neurorologist / Neurosurgeon.

Get an MRI of the thoraco-lumbar region and you will get a diagnosis.
According to your symptoms , I have a feeling that you will require surgery, be prepared.
